How many goals per game is good in Pro Clubs?

One number cannot answer this. A striker on 0.4 goals a game is having a quiet season; a centre-back on 0.4 is remarkable. So here it is split by the position people actually played.

Across every archived player, whatever position they play. Useful as a floor, useless on its own — which is why the split below matters more.

By the position they actually played

This is the part other guides cannot do. EA’s season totals carry no position, so a striker and a centre-back arrive as the same kind of row. Stored match rows do carry one, and averaging per player rather than per match means one vote each — otherwise a single person with four hundred games would define the position.

Goals plus assists is the fairer number

Judging a midfielder on goals alone rewards the wrong thing. Contributions — goals and assists together — sit at a median of 0.89 per 90, with 2.77 at the top tenth.

Why per 90 and not per game

A substitute who plays twenty minutes and a player who never comes off are not comparable per game, and per-game figures quietly flatter whoever plays least. Per 90 puts them on the same scale. It needs minutes to work, which EA reports on match rows but not on season totals — another reason the two kinds of number disagree.

Questions people ask

How many goals per game is good in Pro Clubs?
Across archived players the median is 0.42 goals per 90 minutes, and 1.65 puts you in the top tenth. Position matters more than the headline figure: strikers and midfielders sit far apart.
What about goals and assists together?
Contributions per 90 — goals plus assists — have a median of 0.89, with 2.77 at the top tenth. It is the fairer number for anyone who creates more than they finish.
Why measure per 90 minutes instead of per game?
Because a substitute and an ever-present are not comparable per game. Per 90 puts a player who plays twenty minutes and one who plays the full match on the same scale.
