What stats does EA actually track in Pro Clubs?
Half the arguments about Pro Clubs stats are about numbers that do not exist. This is what EA records, what it never has, and the limit that catches everybody out.

What EA records
Per player, per season: games played, goals, assists, shots, passes made and pass completion, tackles made and tackle success, clean sheets, red cards, man of the match awards and average match rating. Per club: wins, draws, losses, goals for and against, skill rating, promotions and relegations, division and best division.
Match rows add three things the season totals do not have — minutes played, a position bucket, and a set of per-match event counters that EA does not label anywhere.
What EA does not record
No expected goals and no expected assists. No shots on target — only total shots. No key passes, progressive passes or chances created. No touches, carries or possession share. No formation, no lineup, no substitutions: EA publishes no tactical data at all.
If you see any of those on a Pro Clubs site, it is being estimated from something else. It may still be interesting. It is not something EA reported.
The ten-match limit
Ask EA for a club’s matches and you get at most the last ten league games, ten playoff games and ten friendlies. There is no paging.
This is the limit that catches everybody out. A club’s eleventh-most-recent match is gone as far as EA is concerned, which is why per-match analysis of a whole season is impossible from the API alone, and why any site showing you a longer match history is showing you matches it stored itself as they happened.
Positions are four buckets
A match row says goalkeeper, defender, midfielder or forward, and nothing finer. Your club’s listed position — CB, CDM, ST — comes from the squad list, not from what you actually played on the night. The two disagree more often than you would think.
Questions people ask
- Does Pro Clubs track expected goals (xG)?
- No. EA records no expected goals, expected assists, shots on target, key passes or progressive passes. Any site showing xG for Pro Clubs is estimating it, not reporting it.
- How many matches of history does EA keep?
- Ten per match type. Ask for a club’s matches and you get at most the last ten league games, ten playoff games and ten friendlies. There is no paging and no way back further, so any longer history exists only because somebody stored it as it happened.
- Can you see formations or lineups from previous matches?
- No. EA publishes no tactical data at all — no formation, no lineup, no substitutions. Match rows carry a position bucket per player and nothing finer.
- What does EA track per player?
- Season totals — games, goals, assists, shots, passes and pass completion, tackles and tackle success, clean sheets, red cards, man of the match and average rating. Match rows add minutes played, position and per-match event counters.
